Privacy information.
Last updated: 17 October 2026
GP Coaching respects your privacy. This page explains what information is collected when you apply for or receive coaching, why it is collected, where it is stored and how you can access or correct it. GP Coaching aims to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Who we are
GP Coaching is an online fitness coaching business operating in Australia.
What is collected
When you apply: your name, email address, optional Instagram handle, preferred contact method (and your mobile number if you choose WhatsApp), training experience, coaching goals and current challenges.
If you requested the free guide before it became a free page (October 2026): your first name and email address, kept so GP Coaching knows who requested the guide. You won't be added to a mailing list or sent marketing emails.
If you become a client: information needed to coach you, which may include bodyweight, training logs, nutrition logs, progress photographs, check-in responses about sleep, recovery, stress and energy, messages, technique videos and payment records. Some of this is health information, so it is collected only with your consent and only where it is needed for your coaching.
Please don't include medical details that a form or check-in doesn't ask for. If a health matter is relevant to your training, discuss it with your coach and a qualified health professional.
How it is used
Your information is used to assess your application, contact you, design and adjust your programme, review your progress, provide feedback and manage payments. It is not sold, and it is not used for unrelated marketing.
Progress photos, results or testimonials are never published or shared publicly without your separate written permission.
Services that store your information
GP Coaching uses third-party services to deliver coaching. Each handles data under its own privacy policy, and some may store information outside Australia.
- Netlify: hosts this website and receives coaching applications submitted through it.
- Gmail: a copy of each application is emailed to GP Coaching.
- 1FIT: programmes, training and nutrition logs, check-ins, progress photos and resources.
- WhatsApp: coaching messages and technique videos.
- Loom: check-in feedback videos.
- Newie: payment collection.
- Nutrition apps you choose to connect, such as MyFitnessPal or Cronometer, under your own account settings.
Security and retention
Reasonable steps are taken to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including limiting access to the coach and using the security settings each service provides. Application details from people who do not go on to become clients are kept for 12 months and then deleted. Client records are kept for 7 years after coaching ends, unless the law requires otherwise.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask to see the information held about you, ask for it to be corrected or ask for it to be deleted. Requests will be answered within 30 days.
